Our bricks and mortar restaurant was initially created with the co-op model in mind. We believe in community and building our communities to help one another. We felt like if we could bring our dream of feeding people the good food from our childhood, then we would encourage others to follow suit in their own way and together we could foster a strong community to support local businesses.

Our hand trimmed meats are smoked with mesquite wood that we cut down ourselves. Being a Texas BBQ joint, our show stopper is the brisket and of course the beef ribs….Texans love their beef!! We also offer other amazing main courses like pulled pork, pulled chicken, whole chicken, St. Louis & Baby Back ribs as well as V&V Sausage that we source all the way from Cistern, TX. Our food is SCRATCH made using only the freshest and best quality ingredients we can find and it’s all made from recipes our families grew up making. We believe in good food. We believe in real food!

James was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX where he left for the Navy at age 18
In the Navy, James roamed his different duty stations in the states and parts of Europe looking for that comfort food of his childhood to no avail. That longing created a curiosity and was the beginning of the Pitmaster’s 30 years of low and slow smokin’ lessons.

So we thought… what a better way to provide a daily reminder than our logo! The Farm to Market 1626 road was the road James and his parents traveled to take care of his sister during her battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. To us, this represents the sacrifices that we all make for our families.. From ours to yours.
